We would like to take a moment of your time to introduce you to The Simi Valley Police Officers’ Baker to Vegas running team. Their primary activity is the participation in the annual Baker To Vegas Challenge Cup Relay. This relay race was first organized in 1985 and has continued each year. The course begins in Baker, California and ends in Las Vegas, Nevada, some 120 miles away. The Police Department are once again preparing a team to participate in the 2025 Baker to Vegas Challenge Cup Relay scheduled for April 5th and 6th.
The Department has a team of dedicated and motivated officers, non-swore employees, and volunteers who strive to improve our team ranking amongst other Law Enforcement Agencies in this event each year.
To participate in Baker to Vegas, the team will field 20 runners, 5 alternate runners, and 15 volunteer support personnel. Between hotel accommodations, meals, uniforms, and transportation expenses, it is necessary for the team members (runners and volunteers) to lend financial support to the team. This internal support offsets a portion of expenses incurred, but not all. The balance must be raised through community support.
Join us at Cronies on January 25th to raise funds for this event. A percentage of the proceeds from food sales will go back to the Simi Valley Police Department.
